Howe Sound Brewing Co Sea to Sky Altbier BottleHowe Sound Brewing Co. – Sea to Sky Altbier Review

Howe Sound Brewing Company continues their Sea to Sky series with this take on the German Altbier style.  The beer pours from the bomber bottle a clear copper colour with one finger of off-white head that leaves plenty of lacing behind.  The aroma is primiarly of bread and caramel although some grassy hop notes are present.  The flavour is more malty and flavourful with buscuit and caramel tones intermingling with some present, although subtle grassy tones.  The Altbier is clean and crisp yet still presents a prominent malt profile and a subtle bitterness making the beer very easy to drink and still very flavourful.

Alcohol – 4.8% ABV
IBU – 30
Malts – Pilsner, 2-Row, Wheat, Carapils
Hops – Saaz. Hallertau
Size – 650mL
