Russell Brewery Root Beer Milk Stout Review Russell Brewing Co. – Root Beer Milk Stout Review

Russell Brewing has made something pretty unique in that they have brewed a Milk Stout with the flavour of Sassafras, better known for giving Root Beer it’s unique taste. This beer pours from the bomber bottle a colour of dark brown and has a finger or so of lightly lacing head. The aroma is big with root beer flavour. The notes from the Sassafras takes full control and leaves only a smidgen of chocolate to make it through on the nose. Tasting the beer it has a bit more stout to it than the aroma did. Bittersweet chocolate and a light coffee flavour blends with the root beer taste that builds throughout. The lactose is mild and doesn’t give as creamy of a body as you may expect but the overall experience is nice. If you are a root beer fan then definitely try out this beer, If that is not you thing then this may not be the right beer for you.
