Strange Fellows Brewing Little Red One BottleStrange Fellows Brewing – Little Red One Review

Little Red one is the second release in the 2016 Strange Fellows Fellowship series.  The beer pours from the 750mL bottle a clear red colour with one finger of pink head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing.  The aroma of Little Red One is of berries and jammy fruit, some acidity, vanilla and herbal tones, coupled with a mild funk.  The flavour comes across strongly of red wine vinegar initially but when this mellows the beer opens up with notes of raspberries, sour apple, lemon and a subtle sweetness.  These fruity tones are joined with a floral note in the middle.  Initially the beer is quite sour, with an vinous quality but it mellows into a rich, medium bodied sour that leaves behind a pleasant berry flavour in the mouth.

Alcohol – 5.6%
Size – 650mL
