A Letter From Spinnakers’ Brewpub to BC Craft Beer

Spinnaker's Gastro Brewpub

Hello everyone, I’d like to start by saying thank you to everyone for your support and concern.  No one was hurt during the fire and we are going to move forward strong from this incident.  We have gotten together with our staff many times over the last few days and discussed how we are going to progress forward.  The one thing that keeps coming up as the most important issue is keeping our staff/family together during these times.  I know we will have a plan implemented shortly to do so, but for this to move forward and our family to stay together we need to find work for everyone to do while the pub is repaired.  Therefore as a part of the initiative we are hoping to do a number of in store tastings and tap takeovers over the coming weeks.  I know that most typical tasting times have been scheduled, but we are willing to do tasting whenever and wherever to keep are staff busy and show the public that Spinnakers isn’t going away.  That we are still relevant and producing beer!

I am reaching out across all accounts because though we will focus on local Victoria businesses we are not opposed to making up island and lower mainland opportunities work.  Buying our beer and letting our staff be the front line ambassadors of our brand is the biggest help anyone can give us right now.

We are interested in store tastings, tap takeovers, growlers fills at other breweries, markets,  and any ideas that any of you may have that will help.

Again thank you all again for all the support and we hope to see you very soon at the grand re-opening of Spinnakers Brew Pub!
