In the spirit of pumpkin haters the Category 12 Brewing team has concocted the Zombie Repellent Ale, An anti-pumpkin fall seasonal brew. This beer is sold in bomber bottles and is a colour of rich red with two fingers of head. Noticeable hop protein is also suspended in the beer. The aroma is malty and toasted with notes of blood orange that add a zesty sweetness to the beer. The flavour is very rich with a toasted, lightly burnt caramel tone along side rich orange, mild licorice and a distinct bitterness. This aint no pumpkin beer and it isn’t a brew that is easily compared to other beers on the market. The burnt character lingers long afterwards leaving a bitter and toasted flavour on the palate.
