Barkerville Demi-Mondain Ale Review Barkerville Brewing Co. – Demi-Mondaine Dunkelweizen Review

The Demi Mondaine is a Dunkelweizen from Quesnel’s Barkerville Brewing Company. This dark, German styled wheat beer comes in bomber bottles and is 5.2% alcohol. Pouring the beer it is a deep and dark brown colour which is topped with a single finger’s worth of head. The smell of this beer is true to style with clove and banana notes joined by a light toasted character and chocolate tone. The flavour is rich and smooth with the clove and banana notes up front leading into the chocolate and light caramel flavoured centre. A hop presence comes through in the final moments with a slight bitter character that lingers with the remnants of the banana tones and mild sweetness. The Demo-Mondaine is big flavoured, well crafted and true to the German style. This is a great option as the fall days become shorter and the cooler weather creeps in.

Alcohol – 5.2%
Size – 650ml bottle
