Central City Brewing Great Lakes Brewing Peared Up Saison BottleCentral City and Great Lakes Brewery Collaboration Peared Up Saison Review

Central City Brewing has teamed up with Great Lakes Brewery from Toronto, Ontario to create this collaboration pear saison. The beer pours from the bomber bottle a hazy straw colour with one finger of white head that dissipates quickly.  A small amount of head remains on top of the beer but leaves no lacing behind on the glass. Aromas of yeast, pears and a mild barnyard funk dominate but are joined by hay and wet grass tones. The initial flavour is of pear cider, though this melds into flavours of grape must, some light grassy tones, and a subtle yeast flavour. The finish is mild and light, as is the body, making this an easy to drink and refreshing beer.
