Vancouver Island Brewery Killer White IPA Review Vancouver Island Brewery – Killer White IPA Review

In only makes sense that a Vancouver Island Brewery beer has a breaching Killer Whale on the Label. In a bit of a branding side step this seasonal release beer has a very sharp label design. This White IPA pours from the bomber bottle a colour of cloudy amber and is topped with three fingers of dense and heavily lacing head. Smelling the beer it is strong with notes of clove and banana along side a tropical hop flavour of mango, pineapple and passion fruit. This beer is a big aroma brew and is quite enticing. Taking a sip the Killer White IPA has a big body and leads into a mellow but strongly flavoured beer. The Clove and Banana flavours come from the yeast used in the brew while using Galaxy hops for dry hopping gives the fruity nose and flavour. The finish is lightly bitter and the passion fruit notes linger behind as the last note. This beer is flavourful, intense and yet still balanced; a great tasting White IPA.
