Main St Brewing 2nd Anniversary Double IPA Review Main St. Brewing Co. – 2nd Anniversary Double IPA Review

In the spirit of 2s the 2nd anniversary brew from Main St. Brewing is a Double IPA. This Beer is 8.6% alcohol and 80 IBUs. Pouring the beer it is cloudy-gold in colour and has a single finger of head which settles leaving a thick coating of lacing behind on the glass. The aroma is strong with a boozy-tone and big tropical fruit notes. Mango, pineapple and passion fruit take charge in a tropical hop infused aroma. Tasting the beer it is a boozy fruit bowl of flavour. The hops give an intense citrus and fruit tone while the high alcohol gives a bit of a sharp bite. This spiked fruit punch is still balanced and has a mid-body to it which makes it relatively easy to drink. This is a very flavourful Double IPA where the bitterness is masked by the fruit flavours making for a surprisingly sessionable experience.
