Fieldhouse Brewing Eastern IPA CanFieldhouse Brewing – Eastern IPA Review

There are rumours in the Netherlands that it was the Dutch, and not the English, that created the IPA as they were plying the waters to the East Indies much earlier in history and needed to preserve beer for the journey. In honour of those rumours, Fieldhouse Brewing has searched as far east as possible to find hops for its Eastern IPA. The beer pours from the 473mL can a clear copper colour with three fingers of off-white head, leaving behind plenty of lacing on the glass. Aromas of mild apricot and peach notes meld with grass and green grape tones. In the mouth there is a light malt presence with some bready flavours, leading into very subtle lychee and peach notes.  These flavours trail off into a nice, mild bitterness that lingers surprisingly long in the mouth giving a lasting finish.

Alcohol – 5.5%
