Four Winds Brassneck Honeymoon Baby CanFour Winds and Brassneck Collaboration Honeymoon Baby Tropical Saison Review

Brassneck Brewery typically does not package their beer but for this one they’ve teamed up with veterans Four Winds Brewing to create a Tropical Saison brewed with rice and coconut.
The beer pours a cloudy golden colour with three fingers of dense, white head that leaves behind significant lacing on the glass. Aromas of tropical fruit and coconut dominate, along with mango and kiwi notes. Mild flavours of grain and subtle hay and grassy tones are present on the palate. There is a hint of sweetness, and pineapple, followed by a slight bitterness that lingers and leads into a mild funk. In the mouth the beer is light yet wheaty presenting an interesting contrast in textures.

Alcohol – 5.3%

why do breweries keep using rice and corn incraft beer? I don’t get it. It’s one of the biggest complaints about macro lol.

Not sure what the rationale of the rice was in this one aside from the cachet of pairing rice with coconut. That said, the rice should lighten the body I believe so it could be part of the reason this beer feels so light in the mouth.
