The Postmark Brewing Company has taken an international approach to local beer with their Saison Francaise. Brewed using only french ingredients this beer is an amber-copper colour and pours with a finger and a half of head which settles without a trace. From this beer comes a malty character with toasted notes and Saison yeast tones to it. The beer is darker than you may expect for a French Saison. Tasting the beer it has a nice balance of flavour with roasty malt tones along side the light and bubbly french saison characteristics. The beer has a nice body while being light on the tongue at the same time. At 6.0% alcohol the finish has a light warming sensation as mild wheat tones and the toasted notes stretch out the experience.
