Cheers To New Beers! Fernie Releases Eldorado IPA and Old Barn Saison

Say Cheers to New Spring Beers from Fernie Brewing!

(Fernie, BC) – Springtime goodness appears in many forms. Sunshine, blue skies, crisp and beautiful mornings, long and light evenings. As well as a plethora of smiles and goggle tans. It’s official, despite how much you love winter, everyone loves spring.

To celebrate this welcome change in season and to mirror the changes in many a wardrobe, Fernie Brewing Co. has a couple of new brews hitting shelves throughout BC, Alberta and Manitoba…

The Fernie Brewing Old Barn SaisonFirst up is a new spring seasonal. Old Barn Saison, pays homage to Fernie Brewing Co.’s barn roots. A farmhouse brew, accompanied by an illustration of the Dicken Road barn. Where Fernie Brewing Co. began, back in 2003.

“This is our take on the classic, refreshing and unassuming, yet delicious Belgian beer. Surprisingly light, but packs a punch of flavour to enjoy,” says Brewmaster Gord Demaniuk.

It’s a very aromatic flavourful, golden brew, with spicy, peppery and fruity notes – with the additions of peppercorns and orange peel. The classic Strisselspalt and New Zealand Pacific Jade hops make for a very engaging hop profile. And as a farmhouse brew, it goes well with farmhouse foods, think French provincial cuisine, strong cheese and flavoursome salads. IBU 30-35 and 6% alc./vol.

Available as of April 1st, until the end of June, in BC and Alberta, in 650mls and on tap.

The Fernie Brewing Eldorado IPASecondly, is the fourth beer in the six part IPA Bucket List Series. A new brew, The Eldorado Single Hop IPA with Lemongrass, is a refreshingly exciting addition to this popular lineup.

“Eldorado Hop is the focus of this single hop, unfiltered IPA. In addition to the stone fruit flavours of the El Dorado Hop, we have added distinctive Lemongrass, to provide a little extra citrus zing,” says Demaniuk. With IBU – 75-80 and 6.8% alc./vol., it’s quickly been coined a “supped-up Slingshot”, and is fast flying off the shelves.

A Limited Release brew available early April in BC and Alberta, until stocks last. In Manitoba late April.

Lastly, FBC’s familiar and popular Summer Craft Collection Pack is soon to be replacing its winter counterpart. A 12-pack containing three cans of each of the Project 9 Pilsner,

The Griz Pale Ale, Lone Wolf IPA and the Big Caboose Red Ale. Available April – September in BC, Alberta and Manitoba, it’s perfect for the indecisive craft-beer lover.

Fernie Brewing Co.’s Store and Tasting Room Opening Hours for the month of April are Monday 10AM – 5PM, and Tuesday to Saturday 10AM – 6PM. Closed Sunday. For Growlers, Packaged Product, “Cheers to Charity!” Flights, Samples and Merchandise.
