Dead Frog Releases Two New Session Brews & Winter Mixer

DEAD FROG ROCKET MAN PALE ALE-01Aldergrove, BC — Dead Frog Brewery is pleased to announce the release of its new Rocket Man Pale Ale and Cold Brew Red Ale, both of which are included in a new lineup for this year’s Winter Mixer 12-pack.

The Rocket Man Pale is based on Dead Frog’s popular limited release Rocket Man ESB. Although having the same stellar ingredients, it’s lower in alcohol and bitterness to deliver a more sessionable beer drinking experience. Unlike many pale ales, the Rocket Man is dry-hopped for a distinct tropical fruit aroma while delivering a malt-forward flavour profile.

DEAD FROG COLD BREW RED ALE-02The Cold Brew Red Ale is Dead Frog’s innovative take on a traditional red ale, offering a taste profile popular with British Columbians going into the holiday season. This ruby brew surprises with notes of chocolate and vanilla from the addition of chocolate malt and and cold-brewed Bourbon vanilla-infused red rooibos tea from The Tea Guy in North Vancouver.

“It’s a challenge to come up with a session beer that has broad appeal, yet has character and is distinct enough to interest the craft beer drinker,” said Steve Black, Dead Frog’s head brewer. “The feedback we’ve been getting has been very positive, and I’m especially happy with the results of our second collaboration with The Tea Guy.”

Rounding out Dead Frog’s session beer offering in their new 2015 Winter Mixer is a Pilsner and The Classic Nut Brown Ale. Introduced to the public this April, Dead Frog’s Pilsner is a hybrid Bavarian-Bohemian style with Czech and German hops, Pilsner malt, and a German yeast strain. Dead Frog’s Nut Brown Ale is a north English-style brown ale with notes of chocolate and espresso that the brewery has been producing since it opened for business in 2006
