Central City Brewers Launch 2 New Pumpkin Ales

Central City Pumpkin Ales Central City Spices Things Up With Patrick O’ Pumpkin Barrel-Aged Imperial Pumpkin Ale

Surrey, B.C. – A new fiery character-based beer smashes through the season with Patrick O’ Pumpkin. A seasoned and embittered lawman who has fallen to the dark side, Patrick O’ Pumpkin is as ruthless as they come, squashing even the scariest jack-o’-lanterns with no tricks or treats, confronting Detective Saison.

In a city where corruption and crime rule all, justice is brewing…

“Our Central City storyline has been a fun way to showcase our seasonal (character) beers,” says Tim Barnes, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Central City Brewers + Distillers. “Patrick O’ Pumpkin spices things up as our latest offering taking from the rich fall harvest, satisfying craft beer fans who appreciate a spicy strong brew.”

Patrick O’ Pumpkin Barrel-Aged Imperial Pumpkin Ale is a full-bodied spiced pumpkin ale that has been barrel-aged in bourbon barrels with a dark amber orange colour. This robust, strong ale is rich and flavourful with a spicy attitude that has been brewed for the seasoned craft beer drinker.

“We added a bit of twist to our pumpkin ale with an Imperial strength barrel-aged beer with bourbon and vanilla essences and some coffee and roasted flavours to make it a wonderful drinking experience,” says Gary Lohin, Central City’s brewmaster.

And back by popular demand, Red Racer Spiced Pumpkin Ale also makes a return as a seasonal limited release. It is an amber ale with added spices and malty flavour reminiscent of pumpkin pies to make for a rich and full seasonal ale fit for any holiday feast.

Patrick O’ Pumpkin (8% ABV) and Red Racer Spiced Pumpkin Ale (5% ABV) are available in 650 ml bottles and will be in liquor stores in BC by late September.
