Main Street Brewing Company has released the Saison No. 7. This is a 6.0% alcohol beer with a low 15 IBUs. The Saison No. 7 is a beer that is light golden in colour and the glass is topped with one finger of head that settles without a trace. From this head comes an aroma of wheat, coriander and a light Belgian yeast tone with a kick of lemon-orange zest. The body is relatively big for a Saison with a bubbly carbonation factor. The flavour is a touch yeasty with wheat and malt tones adding a sessionability to the beer. The hops are reasonably apparent as well with a light bitterness on the finish. A strong pepper tone adds spice to the mix in a inique ans fairly intense way. The Saison No. 7 is light and sessionable but has a bit of a bite to it. A kick of alcohol flavour, wheat and a distinct hop finish makes the Saison No.7 from Main Street Brewing one of their better beers to date. Give it a try – you will probably like it.
