Central City Brewers Mayor Kolsch Review Central City Brewers & Distillers – Mayor Kolsch Review

The second beer to be released in Central City Brewers’ new character series is the Mayor Kolsch.  This beer is a traditional German Kolsch style brew. From the 650ml, bomber bottle the Mayor Kolsch pours into the glass as a crisp and light, golden-straw colour. With two fingers of head which settles at a moderate rate, an aroma of grass, citrus and a strong malty base makes up what should be a very sessionable and easy drinking summer beer. The flavour is light on the tongue and big with malted notes. A lemon-zest like citrus flavour adds to the mix along with a refreshing, lightly hopped flavour that comes in as the experience comes to a finish. The Mayor Kolsch is a nice balance of traditional German flavour and a refreshing, easy drinking beer for a hot day in the British Columbia  summer sun.
