Steel & Oak Brewery Is Bottling to Serve British Columbia’s Thirst

New Westminster, BC – Private Liquor Stores across British Columbia have a new brewery on their shelves. Steel & Oak Brewing Co. of New Westminster is launching their Smoked Hefeweizen, Red Pilsner and Dark Lager in the 650ml format with more to follow this summer.

“Bottling is something we’d always intended to do, but the popularity of our tasting room made it impossible to have enough volume to keep our front doors open to our growler customers and bottle our product at the same time” says co-owner Jorden Foss. “We have installed a few more fermentation tanks and we are now producing enough beer to expand our distribution via bottle sales to our liquor store customers, and at the same time keep a full growler list in our tasting room.”

“We are grateful that beer enthusiasts have embraced Steel & Oak and are enjoying our brews”, says co-owner James Garbutt. “We had to shut our doors once last summer because we couldn’t keep up with the demand for our beer. We are now carefully managing our growth to ensure that we maintain the quality and diversity that our customers expect, while at the same time expand distribution to all of British Columbia with our bottle sales.”

Steel & Oak’s initial bottle offerings will be available from Vancouver Island to the Interior and everywhere else in between. Small single batch and barrel-aged beers are all planned to hit the shelves in the coming months, including Steel & Oak’s Anniversary Sour to celebrate one year from opening their doors last June.
