Fuggles & Warlock Hopper Texas Brown ReviewFuggles & Warlock Craftworks – Hopper Texas Brown Ale Review

Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks has brewed up another pun-intended beer and this time it is the Hopper Texas Brown. This Brown Ale is brewed with Galaxy, Columbus, Dr. Rudi, Topaz, Amarillo and Cascade hops for a hoppy twist on a California based style called the Texas Brown Ale. From the bottle this beer pours as a dark, chestnut brown colour with three thick fingers of lacing head on top of the glass. From the beer comes a caramel, nut and slightly sour aroma paired with a complex, citrus-hop. The flavour is rather big and sharp for a brown ale. A strong and bitter hop is matched with nutty, caramel tones. This is a massively flavoured beer for a brown ale with strong citrus hops, big, roasted flavours and a maltiness that still finds its way through. A unique and tasty twist on a classic but rare beer style.
