Powell Street Craft Brewery has brewed up the Right Kind Of Crazy. That may seem like an odd thing to say but in this case it is actually a double IPA that weighs in at a big 9% alcohol. From the bomber bottle this big, double IPA pours as a crisp golden colour with a hint of amber hue. Two fingers of head tops this beer and it gives off a big, west coast hop aroma with hints of citrus, pine and a kick of mango. The body is big and smooth with a big, northwest hop flavour profile. A strong piney-ness is accompanied with a tropical fruit flavour and lemon-citrus kick. The high alcohol content is quite apparent but not really boozy. Overall the falvour is big, well hopped and quite intense while showing off a citrus and fruity – west coast double ipa flavour.
