R&B Brewing SPCAle Roggenweisse R&B Brewing Co. – SPCAle Rauchweissen Review

The R&B Brewing Company teamed up with Hops Connect, Richards Packaging and the United Label Company to brew a charity beer giving back to the British Columbia SPCA. The SPCAle is a Rauchweissen where a portion of every bottle is donated to this worthy cause. From the bottle this beer pours a cloudy, golden colour with a thin finger’s worth of head which settles rather quickly and without a trace. An aroma of wheat, citrus and an inkling of smoke come into frame with a touch of coriander to go with it. The body is quite light and the flavour is light with wheat, citrus and a honey-like sweetness. The slightest of smoke comes into the flavour but really this is a light and enjoyable weissen style brew that happens to finish with a touch of smoke. The SPCAle is a beer that is sessionable and has a light twist of smoke while giving back to an amazing cause – the SPCA.
