Spinnaker's Red Fife Hefeweizen ReviewSpinnakers Brewery – Red Fife Hefeweizen Review

In their 30th year of brewing the Spinnakers Brewpub has been on a rampage of seasonal releases. As summer arrives the Red Fife Hefeweizen comes into play. This cloudy, golden coloured beer pours with a thick finger of head which leaves slight lacing on the sides of the glass. The beer’s aroma is strong with orange, citrus, banana and clove. The beers smell forecasts a wheaty and enjoyable summer sessionable Hef. The flavour is light and crisp for a Hefeweizen. With a fairly thing body the orange, banana and clove notes blend together into a very sessionable package. This is definitely a Hefeweizen but the wheat tones do not take charge leaving the whole ensemble to remain very sessionable and easy to drink. This is a great beer for the summer patio or sitting on the Spinnaker’s Brewpub deck overlooking the Victoria Harbour
