Black Kettle Brewing Co. – IPA Review

Black Kettle Brewing Company has three staple beers on tap and now in bottles. The third beer is an IPA which in similar fashion to their Pale Ale and Wheat Ale is simply named the Black Kettle IPA. This beer pours from the bottle an amber colour topped with a finger and a half of dense, lacing head. From this concoction comes an aroma of light pale malts, citrus hops an a touch of caramel sweetness. On the mild side for a BC brewed IPA this has potential to be a BC favourite 12 months a year. The flavour is unique for an IPA with light citrus notes out front, a slightly floral hop and a bigger than expected malted flavour. Perhaps verging on a pale ale, much like the aroma the Black Kettle IPA is a rather sessionable, easy drinking beer that goes down smooth glass after glass.
