Bridge Brewing Wunderbar Kolsch ReviewSpring has arrived in British Columbia. If you are not sure take a look at your local beer shelves and you may just find the Wunderbar Kolsch from Bridge Brewing – A sure sign of the season. This German style Kolsch pours an ever so slightly cloudy golden colour with two full fingers of lightly lacing head. From the beer comes a light lager malt scent with German style hops. Nothing over the top here just a light and surely very sessionable ale. The flavour too is light and sessionable with crisp and refreshing malt tones before a mild German hop. What sets this beer apart though is a unique citrus twist with a bit of a sweetness that comes with it. Not all typical for a Kolsch these added notes complete the package making a delicious and refreshing beer for the months ahead while still being unique and having depth to the flavour that the pickiest of craft beer connoisseurs can appreciate.

Their first Kolsch as well as this one are great summer beers and I am glad that the hot weather is on its way back.
