The Harrison Beer Festival Returns Oct. 25-26

The Harrison Beer FestivalAs part of British Columbia Craft Beer Month the Harrison Beer Festival is back and bigger than ever. With 20 breweries lined up for attendance this weekend will take BC Beer Lovers by storm with the Cask Night, Festival and Oktoberfest events.

The Harrison Beer Festival is unique in that it includes three separate events all focused on beer. The first is a cask night of friendly competition with unique casks on tap from the top breweries attending. The actual Harrison Beer Festival brings 20 of the finest micro breweries in BC (and one from Ontario) to the shores of Harrison Lake for a unique opportunity of sampling or tasting a wide range of craft-brewed beers in a variety of different styles. Finally the festival finishes off with the most famous of all beer celebrations – Oktoberfest. At this wrap-up event there will be an authentic Oktoberfest style beer on tap and a great Oktoberfest Band to keep the polka’s going till the wee hours.

Harrison Hot Springs is once again celebrating Craft Beer Month with its own beer festival. The second annual Harrison Beer Festival takes place October 25th & 26th bringing breweries from around BC and Ontario to the shores of Harrison Lake. With 20 incredible craft breweries attending our festival this is a great opportunity to sample quality craft beer in a region rich in hop growing history. A weekend long happening this Festival includes three events.

Friday October 25th – Cask Night brings six of our best local breweries out for an evening of friendly competition comparing six unique one of a kind brews. With a warm and friendly British pub feel complete with piano player and dart boards this will be a fun night of song and games.

Saturday October 26th – Harrison Beer Festival, armed with your complimentary tasting glass compare the finest crafted beers in BC and Ontario. Your vote will decide the winner of the best beer of the Harrison Beer Festival.

Saturday October 26th – Oktoberfest Dance: October and beer means Oktoberfest and tonight you will experience classic beer hall music with the “Beer Barrels”, local “Oktoberfest” beer & a great time. Come dressed to celebrate and the best male and female costume will win a Oktoberfest prize.

Tickets for each event will be available separately or as a package. All events will take place in the St. Alice Centre of Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa. Food tailored to each event will be available on site.

Responsible Drinking -This is a licensed event open to those 19 and over. Tourism Harrison asks all to drink sensibly and to discourage drinking and driving, we:

Encourage participants to stay overnight with special festival packages from the local hotels
Take advantage of the shuttle bus service to Agassiz and Chilliwack
Pick a designated driver before you arrive to ensure you have a sober driver on the way back.
