Parkside Centennial Smash IPA Review Parkside Brewing – Centennial SMASH IPA Review

Parkside has used Centennial Hops in this SMASH IPA. In 473ml cans this beer pours a colour of light gold with a finger and a half of lacing head. Being lighlty clouded this beer has a classic IPA aroma of mellow pine, lemon peel and a touch of grapefruit. Centennial Hops give this brew it’s BC-roots. Tasting the beer, bitterness is quite mellow but the hop flavour takes charge. The lemon, grapefruit and pine notes give a distinct northwest flavour while the malt character comes through in some strength. The finish builds in bitterness but doesn’t overwhelm the pallet as some NW IPAs can tend to do. This is a beer that is flavourful and somewhat sessionable with a bit of a throwback to the roots of BC’s classic IPA flavours.
