Deep Cove Brewers 2017 Harvest Fresh Hop Ale Review Deep Cove Brewers – 2017 Harvest Fresh Hop Ale Review

For the fall 2017 hop harvest Deep Cove Brewers made an all-BC brew using malts and hops both sourced from within British Columbia. This beer pours a colour of gold with a thin finger of quick to settle head. The aroma is malty and warm with a grassy pine character that is subtle but clearly fresh hops. The flavour is maltier that your typical fresh hop beer with a golden-ale like base flavour with this there is a bit more going on which is difficult to put a finger on. Reading the description it is actually a rye spice and squash character that gives a bit of an oktoberfest like character that works well with the fresh hop tones. This is easy drinking but definely not your typical fresh hop beer.
