Fieldhouse, Doans & Boombox Collaboration IPA Review Fieldhouse, Doans & Boombox Cashmere Fresh Hoped Tart SMASH Milkshake IPA Review

If you were to take every trend in BC craft beer and put them together into one whirlwind of a beer this would be it. Check of the boxes for Fresh Hops, Sour, SMASH and Milkshake in this 3-party collaboration. From the bomber bottle this beer pours a very haze amber-brown colour with two finger of head that settles without a trace. The aroma is of melon, citrus and a orange-juice like acidity. Tasting the beer The tartness comes out up front and leads into the orange-melon hop flavour. The milkshake aspect is more mellow than some of the style but gives a creaminess and smooth body to the beer. While the hop character is very apparent, the fresh hop aspect is masked behind all the other trends that are each shouting for attention. For being an amalgamation of so many things, the beer actually works pretty well, likely because none are too excessive and work together in each of their levels of moderation.
