Dageraad Brewing Oskar Belgian Pale Ale Review Dageraad Brewing Co. – Oscar Belgian Style Pale Ale Review

Brewed with “American hos” The Oscar is a Belgian style Pale Ale from Burnaby’s Dageraad Brewing Company. This beer is sold in 650ml bottles and comes in at 5% alcohol. Opening the bottle and giving it a pour the Oscar is slightly hazy, golden and topped with two fingers of loose, lightly lacing head. The aroma is rich with Belgian yeast character that is matched with a mellow but distinct west coast hop character. The result is a pleasant and unique aroma that blends west coast and traditional Belgian flavours. The flavour too is somewhat mellow but distinct with similar notes to what is on the nose. A Belgian table beer-like character comes with a mellow hoppiness and sessionability that gives a tasty and unique pale ale flavour. Dageraad has done a great job here of creating a balanced beer that takes the best of Belgian and American styled beers and blends them into a delicious Pale Ale.
