North Shore Beer Week

Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism Association Presents Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week

North Vancouver, BC – Canada’s first ever craft brewery –Horseshoe Bay Brewery opened in West Vancouver in 1982. Now, 35 years later Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism Association is inviting you to celebrate this history and the five (soon to be seven!) microbreweries that now exist in North Vancouver at the first ever Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week this October 6-13.

Vancouver’s North Shore – an area that encompasses Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay and mountains to shoreline and recently joined the BC Ale Trail- will host seven days of festivities in venues across the area. You’ll get to enjoy cask nights, guided tours, live music, Brewmaster’s Dinners, and, of course, beers from the participating North Van craft breweries which include: Beere Brewing Co, Black Kettle Brewing Company, Bridge Brewing Co, Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers, and Hearthstone Brewery.

Guests can be rewarded for their beer-guzzling also with the launch of the Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week Passport. For a limited time only guests can pick up a passport at participating breweries and North Shore hotels that they can then get stamped as they travel on their craft beer journey. The passport can then be surrendered at the breweries to be entered in a prize draw that includes prizes like hotel stays, Capilano Suspension Bridge passes, filled growlers, and so much more.

“We are delighted to introduce this festival, and our craft breweries, to new and old friends alike”, said Jennifer Belak, Executive Director at Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism Association. “There is so much to see and do on Vancouver’s North Shore and our breweries are as varied as our attractions. So, we invite visitors to take your time to explore our neighbourhoods, shops and restaurants as you collect your Craft Beer Week stamps and sample some of the best craft beers out there”.

Passports must be deposited at participating breweries or the North Vancouver Visitor Centre by October 30 to be included in the prize draw.
