Yellow Dog Brewing Ginger Lime Gose Review Yellow Dog Brewing Co. – Go Get It Ginger Lime Gose Review

Port Moody’s Yellow Dog Brewing has released the Go Get It, a Gose brewed using Ginger and Lime. This beer comes in 473ml cans and measures 5.1% and 5 IBUs. Pouring the beer it is a light, golden-amber colour and is topped with two fingers worth of head that settles without a trace. Smelling the beer it has a strong ginger character matched with a tart, lime note. The malt base makes itself known as well but remains in the background as a subtle addition to the mix. Tasting the beer, an initial saltiness and malt character leads into an intense ginger flavour. The lime emerges as well giving an intense but refreshing flavour. The body is middle of the road here but a below typical carbonation gives a bit more sweetness and accentuates the body slightly. This beer is not for everyone, but you can say that about just about every Gose. It is salty and sour with a big kick of ginger and lime flavour.

Alcohol – 5.1%
Size – 4 x 473ml cans
IBU – 5
