Phillips Brewing & Doans Brewery - One In The Chamber SMASH Ale Review Phillips Brewing & Doan’s Brewery – One in the Chamber SMASH Ale Review

In rare form, Phillips Brewery has partnered with Doan’s Craft Brewing Company to brew a SMASH ale called One in the Chamber. This beer measures in at 6.0% alcohol  and as a SMASH is a single malt, single hop brew. Pouring from the 650 ml bottle the beer is a light, golden straw colour and has nearly three fingers of lacing head. The aroma is earthy with a citrus character to it and an almost onion like tone (in a good way). Tasting the beer it is malty with a light and earthy character which leads into a citrus, mellow bitterness that has a bit of funk to it. The hop tones come from a relatively unknown hop called Denali while the malt is local and in-house malted at the Phillips Brewery.

Alcohol – 6.0%
Size – 650ml
