Overview

Main St. Brewing Co - Electric Torpedo White IPA Review Main St. Brewing Co. – Electric Torpedo White IPA Review

As an extension of the Main Street Seasonal Series of craft beers comes the Electric Torpedo, a White IPA that comes in at 6.5% alcohol and 45 IBUs. This beer pours from the bomber bottle a light golden colour that is crisp, clear and topped with two fingers of lacing head. The aroma is thick with tropical fruit tones and a big Belgian yeast character. The Yeast is intense on the nose but goes head to head with the massive dose of Citra hops. Tasting the beer the hops and yeast work together in a fairly intense flavour profile. For an IPA the bitterness is quite low and the Belgian yeast distracts from the IPA-ness as well. There is a touch of wheat on the tongue that comes through with mellow flavour and the expected wheat-based mouthfeel. The Electric Torpedo brings together Belgian flavour, big hop aromatics and wheat into a low bitterness White IPA. It is refreshing, unique and worth giving a try.
