Off The Rail Brewing Honey Ginger Ale ReviewOff The Rail Brewing Co. – Honey Ginger Ale Review

Off The Rail Brewing has made a summer seasonal release the is called the Honey Ginger Ale. This beer is 5.0% alcohol and comes in at 34 IBUs. From the 650ml bottle this beer pours a colour of amber with one finger of head. The aroma is strong with ginger which masks most other smells. The honey does come through with a mellow smoothness and sweetness alongside the overpowering ginger notes. Tasting the beer the ginger is up front but isn’t as over powering as in the aroma. The honey adds a nice mouthfeel and touch of sweetness while the ginger gives an intense herbal-spice character. The ginger lingers well into the finish while a mild hop bitterness comes into the picture at the end. The ginger content makes for an intense flavour and will either excite or turn off each drinker but it is a unique and flavourful beer either way.
