Yukon Brewery - Breakfast at the Brewery Mimosa Kolsch Review Yukon Brewing Co. – Breakfast at the Brewery Mimosa Kolsch Review

Yukon Brewery has stepped into summer with a Mimosa Kolsch that uses oranges in the recipe. This fruit infused beer pours from the bomber bottle as a hazy golden colour with three fingers of quick to settle head. The aroma is strong with a bitter-sweet and lightly tart orange character. The orange masks most of the traditional kolsch aroma. Tasting the beer the Orange flavour takes charge with a crisp tartness that comes through in the cheeks. The orange flavour settles and leaves way for a malt character that lingers with the remnants of the orange. Perhaps a touch on the fruity side for some this is exactly what you should expect when you read the name. Just like a mimosa, there is a bubbly, lightly sweet orange flavour that is quite refreshing
