Spinnaker’s Brewery – 33rd Anniversary Vanilla Truffle Wheat Ale Review
For the Spinnaker’s Brewery’s 33rd birthday there is a Vanilla Truffle Wheat Ale to mark the occasion. This beer is 5.2% alcohol and a low 15 IBUs. Brewed with Vanilla beans and serene cocoa husks this beer looks more like a smoothie than a beer. Extremely cloudy with noticeable sediment floating in the beer there is a single finger of head at the top of the glass. The aroma is thick with cocoa, vanilla and a rich creamy character. The nose is quite intense and forecasts a milkshake style texture. The flavour is strong with vanilla notes and cocoa showing a flavour that is darker than the colour suggests. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy with a lactose-like character. A full bomber may be a bit intense do drink alone but the flavour is worth giving a try. Share this bottle with a few friends and you are in for a treat.
