Mt Begbie Brewing Confederation 150 Maple Cream Ale Review Mt. Begbie Brewing Co. – Confederation 150 Maple Cream Ale Review

In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday the Mt. Begbie Brewing Company has brewed up the Confederation 150 Maple Cream Ale. This beer was brewed with Maple Syrup to give a Canadian twist on a classic cream ale. Pouring from the 650ml bottle this beer is golden amber in colour and has a thin finger of head which settles quickly and without a trace. The aroma is sweet with a rich maple character. This comes across creamy, rich and dark with an oakiness to it. The flavour too is sweet with a strong maple character than masks much of the rest of the beer. The sweetness comes with a creamy mouthfeel and an enjoyable but somewhat one dimensional flavour profile. For all those maple fans out there this is a big and flavourful Canadian-inspired brew.
