Langley’s Trading Post Brewery has released a Belgian Style Blonde Ale that is 7.1% alcohol and 16 IBUs. The beer is golden-blonde in colour and has a very thin finger of head which settles quickly and without a trace. The aroma is rich with Belgian yeast character and a candi-like sugar note. Somewhat tripel like for a Blonde Ale this is a big and strong take on the style. Tasting the beer it too is big and strong with the yeast character working along side a distinct sweetness. Despite being big bodied and flavoured there is a certain drinkability and graininess to the flavour that makes it quite easy going. This is no pale blonde ale but rather a big and bold Belgian Take on an often mild styled beer.

Alcohol – 7.1%
IBU – 16
Size – 650ml

A well made Beer for the style. Much like the Tripel though I found it a bit to sweet for my palet.
