Brewed with local, Vancouver Island Salt this release from Steamworks Brewing is simply named the Salted Porter. From the 650ml bottle this deep brown coloured beer has one finger of head which settles leaving light lacing behind on the glass. The aroma is of chocolate with a cocoa bitterness and slight milky creaminess. The body is more carbonated than you may expect and to no surprise, a salty-chocolate body takes charge A touch of bitter-sweetness up front leads into a briny-salt centre. The salt cuts through the sweet and bitter character leaving for an interesting finish of mild chocolate-malt and salty twang. The salt takes control of the beer and cuts through the other notes in a strong and unique manner.

Alcohol – 6.0%
