Superflux Beer Company (formerly Machine Ales) is currently brewing out of Dogwood Brewing in south Vancouver.  Their beer is packaged in fairly unassuming cans that hide the ingenuity and tenacity behind the beer.  Colour & Shape pours from the 355mL can a cloudy yellow colour with four fingers of off-white head that leaves plenty of lacing behind in the glass.  The aroma is of oranges, mangoes, and pineapples along with other notes of tropical fruit and a hint of banana.  In the mouth the beer shows off that tropical fruit again but this time coupled with light resin tones, some citrus, flavours of honey and mild caramel, as well as stone fruit and some grapefruit pith.  Colour & Shape is surprisingly light bodied and creamy with a low perceived bitterness that still lingers somewhat in the mouth.  At 6.8% this is a strong beer but the alcohol doesn’t make itself known and is masked by the strong fruit flavours and aromas.

Alcohol – 6.8% ABV
Size – 355mL

I’ve had no problems pouring this beer. Try proper glassware next time, this just might be the best IPA BC has produced and that’s not just my opinion ;p

I picked up three packs and each can poured like this, proper glassware or no. That said it’s delicious. Glad you enjoyed it as well David.
