Phillips Brewing Missile Toad Imperial IPA Review Phillips Brewing Co. – Missile Toad Imperial IPA Review

Phillips Brewing has released a seasonal, limited release beer called the Missile Toad. This Imperial IPA comes in at 9.0% alcohol and is sold in bomber bottles. Pouring the beer it is golden in colour with two fingers of lacing head. The beer has noticeable hop sediment that is suspended in the glass. From the beer comes a big, intense aroma of citrus, pine and pineapple. Tasting the beer the hop character is fruitier than on the nose with the pineapple, and citrus notes taking charge in a lightly sweet way. The bitterness builds as the flavour continues and a grapefruit bitterness lingers on the tongue. Throughout the taste a slight booziness continues but is never overpowering. This is a tasty beer with a tropical hop explosion that is a strong hit of flavour and alcohol.

Alcohol – 9.0%
