Labelled as the “Freshest Wet Hop Ale on 3 Wheels” the Flat Tire is a beer that was brewed with Cascade, Chinook and Centennial hops. Pouring this beer from the bomber bottle it appears golden in colour and is topped with a finger and a half of lightly lacing head. The aroma is light with a resinous fresh hop tone to it. The resin and citrus nose also has a maltiness to it characteristic of a golden ale. Tasting the Flat Tire it is light and easy drinking with distinct yet light hop character. The body is light with a nice malt flavour and mild sweetness. As the malty flavours settle a hop bitterness grows behind with a citrus, pine and sap-like flavour profile. This is an easy drinking ale that is a nice example of fresh hop flavours without going way over the top.
