Four Winds Brewing Pomona Wine Barrel Aged Fruit Sour Ale Review Four Winds Brewing Co. – Pomona Red Wine Barrel Aged Stone Fruit Sour Review

In the champagne corked, Eurus Series of beers from the Four Winds Brewing Company Comes Pomona, A Stone Fruit Sour aged in red wine barrels. This beer pours a colour of cloudy straw and has two fingers of head on top the glass. The beer also has some noticeable pieces of sediment suspended in the beer. The aroma is fresh and sharp with notes of lemon, apricot and nectarine. Tasting the beer it has a fresh, lemonade like character with a balanced sour tone and light oak character. Nectarine notes blend with a citric-acidity for a balanced and mellow sour flavour. This is an easy drinking, fruit-forward sour ale that is quite light and refreshing.
