Deep Cove Brewers Harvest Fresh Hop Ale Review Deep Cove Brewers – Harvest Fresh Hop Ale Review

Deep Cove has blended two of BC’s favourite fall flavours into one beer. The Harvest Fresh Hop Ale uses all BC ingredients including fresh hops from the Sartori Farm and squash from UBC Farms. This fall falvoured beer pours a colour of rich gold and has one thick finger of head which crests the glass. Notes of lightly roasted malt and a mild fresh hop-grassy tones come through. As a beer with squash in it it is also important to note that there are no spice tones on the nose, just the light caramel notes of a toasted squash. The flavour is bigger bodied and richer than most fresh hop beers with a big, malty base. This is verging on an Oktoberfest style beer with the freshness and bitter notes of a fresh hop beer. This is a solid beer that is made slightly more unique with the use of fresh hops as they are a subtle but pleasant twist on the beer.
