Twin Sails Brewing - Space Armadillo Double IPA Review Twin Sails Brewing Co. – Space Armadillo Double IPA Review

The Space Armadillo is a limited release Double IPA with Sacc Trois (Saccharomyces Trois), a yeast strain that gives notes of mango and pineapple. In a 473ml can this beer is 8.0% alcohol and comes in at 60 IBUs. The Space Armadillo is extremely cloudy with a hue of golden-orange. Two finders of lacing head tops the beer and gives off an aroma of tropical fruit including Mango, Pineapple, and grapefruit. The nose is quite intense and big with  fruit tones. The body of this beer is thinner than most double IPAs and the first flavours that hit the tongue are of tropical fruit. The Mango and pineapple lead into a grapefruit flavour with a growing bitterness and a sweetness to go with it. As the flavour progresses, with a lighter body a bit of a boozy tone emerges at the top of the mouth. This beer is big on flavour and a fairly unique Double IPA by BC standards. It is definitely worth giving a try!

I’m my opinion this is the best beer this brewery has ever made without question. The flavour is out of this world!
