Fieldhouse Brewing Summer Saison BottleFieldhouse Brewing – Summer Seasonal Saison Review

Fieldhouse Brewing has started a seasonal saison series and begun by releasing the Summer version.  The beer pours from the 750mL bottle a cloudy yellow with two fingers of white head that lingers leaving some lacing on the glass.  The beer presents aromas of wheat, bread, and yeast up front, followed by notes of green grapes, kiwi, hay and herbs.  In the mouth flavours of bread, yeasty funk and some mild bitterness are initially prominent.  These flavours are followed up by banana and mild tropical fruits, as well so some stone fruit and herbal notes.  This medium bodied saison has plenty of flavour but the bitterness shows up early and lingers long after, pushing out some of the lighter flavours.
