Patrick Moore Joins CrossRoads Brewery as Head Brewer

Prince George, BC – CrossRoads Brewing is pleased to announce that Patrick Moore has joined the start-up brewery as its Head Brewer. Patrick joins CrossRoads from Howe Sound Brewing, one of BC’s first craft breweries founded in 1986 in Squamish.

Patrick was the Brewery Manager, where he led brewing and production in Squamish and Vancouver at R&B Brewing, a small brewery acquired by Howe Sound in 2015. Over the past few years Patrick and his team were recognized with a number of awards. This included winning best North American Pale Ale at the recent BC Beer Awards, and Gold and Silver Medals for their ESB Extra Special Bitter and Barley Wine Ales at the 2016 Canadian Brewing Awards.

“Patrick is an experienced brewer who understands the industry and can develop a range of great beers,” said Daryl Leiski, co-owner of CrossRoads. “He’s also an enthusiastic guy who has spent time in the north, and believes in our vision for the brewery in our community,” adds Bjorn Butow the other owner.

Patrick brings a wealth of experience to CrossRoads having worked at a number of breweries and pubs across BC. These include Vancouver Island Brewing, Nelson Brewing, Fernie Brewing, Central City Brewers & Distillers, and the Taylor’s Crossing and Sailor Hagar’s brew-pubs.

“I’m really excited to be in Prince George and join at these guys at the ground level,” said Patrick. “This community is ready for a craft brewery in the heart of the city. I’m looking forward to developing recipes that connect with those new to craft beer as well as long-time craft beer drinkers – it’s going to be fun.”

CrossRoads Brewing is a craft brewery opening in downtown Prince George in the late 2016. CrossRoads represents Prince George at the geographical centre of the province, highlighted by the convergence of the Nechako and Fraser rivers, the intersection of Highways 16 and 97, and the crossing of the railway. CrossRoads also references the critical decisions that are made at key moments in life. You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and at www.crossroadscraft.com
