Postmark Brewing Hefeweisen Review Postmark Brewing Co. – Hefeweizen Review

Postmark has taken to the German styles and brewed a Hefeweizen. This beer comes in at 5.0% alcohol and a modest 18 IBUs. Coming in a bomber-style bottle it is golden-straw in colour and when pouring it shows one finger of lacing head in the glass. Smelling this beer it has notes of clove and banana along with a light citrus freshness. The beer smells traditional but on the lighter side of the style. Tasting Postmark’s Hef, it has an underlying wheat tone that props up a subtle clove-orange spice and a banana ester. Postmark’s take on the Hefeweizen style is definitely a light one with a very sessionable and easy drinking body. The wheat takes charge over the fruit and spice notes compared to many similarly styled beers making for a neutral, and easy drinking brew.
