Twin Sails Brewing Kolsch Review Twin Sails Brewing Co. – Dry Hopped Kolsch Review

Twin Sails has decided to add some Wit to their beers and this aint no Witbier. As a part of their “Under The Seasonals Series” of one-off beers the Port Moody Brewery has released a Dry Hopped Kolsch. Adorned with a toque-wearing, lawn mowing, mustached octopus this is a rather fun looking beer. Pouring from the bomber bottle the beer is gold coloured and has a single finger of head which leaves light lacing behind on the glass. The aroma is full of citrus and pine notes from a rather large dry-hopping. A Pineapple tropical note also adds to the aroma giving a tropical infusion to the aroma. Tasting the beer it is light and refreshing as a Kolsch should be. The fruit-forward hop tones come through up front and lead into the German malt character of the beer. A resinous-pine character also comes into play for a traditional northwest style flavour infusion. This beer is light and refreshing with a hit of piney-fruit infusion for a west coast twist on a classic German styled beer.
