Twin Sails Brewing Pilsner CanTwin Sails Brewing – Pilsner Review

Twin Sails Brewing in Port Moody pride themselves on their classic European style beers and their Pilsner falls squarely within this category.  The beer pours from the 355mL can a clear straw colour with two fingers of dense white head that dissipates slowly and leaves some trace lacing on the glass.  Aromas of grain, bread, and crusty malts are initially dominant, followed closely by hay, hints of lemon, and a subtle apple tone.  In the mouth the flavour is prominently bread and wheat malt up front with a slight bitterness coming on soon but dissipating quickly.  The finish is quick and doesn’t linger long in the mouth, and lacks some hop notes to balance the malt profile.

Alcohol – 5.1%
IBU – 28
